Is Orbiri mandatory in schools?

Schools choose how they manage mobile phones and digital distractions during the school day. Orbiri is one solution schools can choose to help put their phone policy into practice.

Where a school chooses to use Orbiri, it works alongside the school’s existing phone policy.

During school hours, Orbiri blocks distracting apps while keeping essential, medical and school-approved apps available.

The school helps coordinate the community and can specify which learning apps need to remain available, but it does not control a child’s personal phone activity. Schools cannot see messages, browsing, photos or personal app activity.

Outside of school, participation is a family choice.
